the different can't be more than 1%, use the same tires make/model so the wear pretty close to each other.

I believe both wipers are driven by a single motor, may want to check if anything loose in there. You have to take off that plastic cover like you want to replace cabin...

My guess is since you have high mileage the old xfer case oil has lost it...
