New solenoids pan change and refill with NEW fluid solved my 2-1 hard shift. (I also had a transmission malfunction safe mode warning)

All the pads look fine, all sensors should be bypassed. There was a lot of mud and gunk in the plug compartment (where the sensor harness connects to the car). I cleaned it out.
