Me personally would just drain whats in the pan...

Me personally would just drain whats in the pan and refill with new stuff.. Then if you're really paranoid, repeat after a day's worth of driving.

I have a 2007 328xi with the same N52 motor... the gas pedal is less senstive in mine,...

In case anyone cares... project is all done! I had to remove the cabin filter/box... cross brace, and cowl. Then it was a pretty easy job...

Swapped out the original Bosch plugs with 80k on...

Thanks for this! Apparently anti-seize is about as wide a discussion as the brands of oil to use in these cars! I like this bulletin though and will steer clear of it.

So I'm shopping for new plugs for our 2008 X3 (80k), and I see two options on BavAuto.com:

NGK Part # : PLZFR6A $ 19.95
-OR-
BOSCH Part # : FR7NPP332 $9.95

Yes... plugs changed out at 92k... was planning to do the ignition coils around 150k as a preventative maintenance item....unless they start to exhibit issues earlier.

I would suggest changing the oil / filter again after 100-500 miles to try and flush some of that gunk out. ...
