No experience with this kit, but it would follow the same procedure as the regular BMW Aux kit that you purchase. You would have to pull the pins out of that solid plastic connector plug and insert...

It will be interesting to see what the final result will be. A fatigued battery would show a sluggish starter, the fact that you are cranking but not firing seems to indicate something going on...
