With regard to the actuator, I thought all that sometimes goes bad is the gear (which costs only about $30), but I'll leave that to people who know...

Do give the Q5 serious consideration, especially the diesel IMO. It's a fantastic, very high quality, very well rounded smaller SUV. For me, it sits between the X3 and the Macan.

+1 - Color is such a personal thing, it's pointless asking anyone else's opinion. However...., since you asked, I vote for Liquid Blue. Very cool color, and easy to maintain.
