I will say this, back a few years ago, the HPFP was indeed a big topic, but BMW finally solved it, and the HPFP threads have gone from plentiful to nearly vanished. The 2008 535i had a faulty HPFP....

I can barely see the crimp. Even if it was enough to restrict some air flow, both pipes channel all of the engine exhaust. There's plenty of outflow available for a smaller 2.5 liter engine....

Not familiar, and you own a 535i? You are a lucky man, because they only work on that E60. I own a JB4. If you want to basically add 2 more cylinders for a few hundred bucks, do it.
