What happened? Did you check the solenoid? Was it gummed up?

I just posted a similar query on why clean CS solenoid at hi- mileage as I am changing out CPS. I'm in area code 805.

Could be just out out of spec torquing of some new plugs and/ or putting some lube on the plug threads such that when some heat gets into the cylinder head, the plugs 'tighten up' and the ground...

US spec/ pre-wired car. Antenna looks like a black baby finger the base of which unlocks. No Photo, the year and model dictate the type antenna..However, that exact antenna not depicted in BMW parts...
