I pulled the cover off the vacuum pump and inspected the O ring. It showed a slight pinch so I replaced it with a new O Ring. Guess What, problem fixed. It pulls 25 inches of vac on start up now....

Good point Hogie, we did clean the valve covers in 2 of 3 we fixed. That is a time consuming job in itself. The third was much lower mileage and we just changed the Vanos Orings.
