I'm 75% sure my car does have a clutch safety switch. I.e. the car won't start unless you're on the clutch.

But the no-power to the OBC is your problem, not the clutch.

I just want to reiterate this point: overheating your engine will be super bad. Like $2000 bad....

Stiff mounts seem like a very good idea if you'll be racing. Seems like racing would be the best way to money shift your BMW.... stiff mounts will help keep that from happening.
