Paint job does look lighter onthe upper surfaces (bonnet, boot/trunk lid, bumpers) could be sunlight damage. Can't see what you mean by the possible hidden damage.

Brake bleed nippes are seized solid and no penetrating oils has worked. Now got to drive around on soft brakes.

The bearing change was a success and now run smooths...

Managed to get the half shaft in far enough that the splines engaged. Then had to use a special set of tools only available to me!!!!

Cheers for the pics Jay. My half shafts look works than that with 20 years of rust on them.

I dropped the control arm and had the old bearing out and new bearing pressed in within an hour earlier...

Penetrating oil seemes to have loosened the brake line. Not good for the bolts holding the control arm on the body. Snapped one tonight trying to loosen it. That's going to be fun trying to tap it...

Can't take the control arm off as the 3 bolts attaching it to...

Fuel rail, injectors, fuel pressure regulator removed and cleaned up.

Now decided to start leaking fuel from regulator number 4 injector and possibly number 1 injector.

Any ideas?

Get rid of the 4 prong plugs. I put them in my 318i for a month. My car ran like crap and the plugs were black with soot when I changed them.

My 92 318i is doing pretty much the same. Standard fuel over here in the UK is 95 octane. Premium in 98 octane. I would fill up next time and run it on premium, but I need a mortgage to us 98 here. ...
