If your 2011 was a pre 09/10 build date, then yes, the sensors are a different frequency and won't be recognized. The sensors were changed on cars with an 09/10 build date or later.

Put mine on a few weeks ago, just before my shoulder surgery. Normally I would wait until mid or late November, depending on the weather outlook at that time. I'll switch them out again in April.
