+1 for the PB Blaster. I had a 17 year old O2 sensor just down from the header on the exhaust pipe that I couldn't get loose. The PB Blaster loosened it up with ease.

Not sure how long until failure. The squealing annoyed me and it was still under warranty so I had it fixed. Mine was the idler pulley. Squealing went away after it was replaced.
