All BMW dual pane has a half inch black border. Beyond that you'd have to lookup part numbers to see if its "insulating", "break resistant", "protection", etc.

There are actually four (two on the other side of the shock also).

That is one (of two) bumper shocks. I believe they are one time use and looks like there is damage to the frame where the bumper bolts up that will need to be repaired.

In twelve years of e38 ownership I have not found cleaning the MAF to be helpful except in the shortest possible term.

Would you be able to show which wire you used? I did the same and it was suggested I use a solid white wire from the amp. I did, but my battery has been draining ever since.
I took it off.
