I just had mine done a couple of months ago. You have to disable the DSC from the iDrive menu. You may get some warnings - but they will clear.

It's the bridge sealing sleeve. There is a great DIY written by Wilson - it's not a difficult fix. Change the transmission fluid and filter pan at the same time.

Yup - I paid about $30 for the sealing sleeve and adapter seal - I also changed the transmission fluid which cost me another $70. It really is easy to do.
