I think it's actually a Z1 with a "body kit". The slide down doors are the give away. Z1 was a short lived precursor to the Z3 and ran from 1989-1991.

When you hopefully get that worked out, then you should be fine. The disk you received is for the iDrive based NAV and doesn't work in the Mk IV NAV found in the Z4, as you've already discovered.
