Yeah Weathershield definitely thinner

Weathershield is more water resistant and dries faster as well, but I found that the tropical sun really took a toll on it, the sunbrella is holding up well so far, aside from the velcro fasteners...

Remover wipers, then the clips

Not too difficult once you get the wipers off. I used a big channel lock and rocked them back and forth a bit then they pulled off. Make sure to check/mark orientation of the wipers.

Most common causes are the switch behind the radio or the hood switch on the driver's side near the radiator. Unhook the connection on either to test if you still get the 3 chirps.

Yeah, I have had the glovebox out twice and the dealer had it out 2 or three times as well when it was in warranty (alarm issues). I know the plastic tabs are brittle and some of the fastening points...

I was dreading taking out the glove box and getting to the end of the cable to fix the sticky blend door issue. I tried your work around and it definitely worked in my case, saves me from contorting...

You can peel the tape around the windshield with a heat gun and some elbow grease, should be clearcoated and painted underneath, seems like you don't care for the look...:dunno:

My cruise became intermittent twice due to bad brake switches

Definitely suspect the brake switch if cruise is failing, not an expensive part and relatively easy to change out.
