thanks all

the manager did cover the cost to drill a hole in the pipe and put in a valve
they sprayed in disinfectant and the smell is gone
replaced all filters and a/c works well

got a call from the service agent at gallery bmw of norwood mass.

he said that they fixed the a/c and replaced the filter

he agreed that the car stills smells badly of vinegar when you turn on...

dropped it off at dealer today to get it looked at

sometimes the simplest approach is the best
we had a cnc machining center that had 10 repair guys look at it when it went down
someone then came from the japanese mfg company, looked at it, clicked...

dealer replaced water pump but still has engine warning

warning light for overheating still coming on after few minutes of driving

electronic control failure

dealer tested it and believes that electronic control failed
but not 100% sure so they are doing test drive
we shall see
no smell nor sign of coolant leak
had 1 year/15k service only 1 month ago

havent been getting heat for 1 week but tonight was first time i had a warning light

5+ years ago when i did the ED, I had wanted the newly available conv. which trailed the standard car release by 6 months
but only way to get it was to take from dealer allocation and take 328...

today ordered an x5 premium with nav and running boards
wife choose black metallic with tan inside
nav was free option from bmw right now and also get $1000 loyalty discount (2007 ED 328 convert)...

just back from berlin today and the land of bmw and mercedes: every taxi was a mercedes of some kind, including mini vans
saw many x1's
