I found where the mystery wire goes.

Up under the intake manifold next to the pcv valve in one of the most inaccessible and invisible locations there is a electrical connection to the oil pressure...

One fix to the P0172 and P0175 problem

I found that after working on my car (replacing the pcv valve and pipes) I was getting the same errors.

The most common response was that I probably had a bad mass air flow...
