Funny you would say that and 99.9% of the time you're absolutely right, but I treated myself to a Christmas present this year; a 996 Turbo S, and it came with a brand new set of all season tires. ...

To prevent sulfation and permanent degradation, batteries should be on trickle chargers in my opinion. Any car I'm not driven regularly for a long distance will not be completely charged and should...

California Duster. But not for water/mud; just dust. I've used it on my black cars, no scratches. Just make sure you get the original. Lots of copies out there now but they were the original....

I swear by Techron. I've used it since the mid 80's on my cars. One large bottle or two smaller ones just before an oil change.

We went into my 1979 911SC at about 110k miles (214k now) to add...

M3 revs higher, no doubt.
M5 is a torque monster.

At age 22, I'd probably go for the M3. I'm saying that even though I have an M5.

Nice job. I'm curious how many miles were on your car when you did the rebuild? How many of those miles did you put on? Did you ever use Techron?

I'm just curious if you've had the car awhile...

I agree. Looks like a gasket leaking down on the exhaust manifold. To check. Clean it up real good. Drive it for 30-40 miles to burn the oil off the manifold. If there's no smoke after driving...

I do the same thing. I go by feel rather than some government imposed wear bar. I've found tires really can't pump away enough water by the time they reach wear bars.

You're right. I also prefer a manual, normally aspirated, rear wheel drive car. That's why I'll keep my old M5. Last year of this body style.

On the other hand, I understand the pressure...

Excellent. I hope they follow through. I always said the sweet spot for an X3 M would be 400-450HP and this comes in right in the middle. Still no quad exhaust but they've got two more years to...

Another possibility. I think low speed operates by switching the fan circuitry through the ballast resistor mounted on the side of the fan. If that resistor shorts out, it would run full speed...

Short answer is no. An X3 is no softer than other BMW models and I press those rather aggressively on the track. I think you can give her a pass on this one.
