That should have been taped off......... An all purpose cleaner and a brush (such as a tooth brush) but that will also remove wax where you get it on the paint.

I run the mobil 1 oW-40 and follow the OCI indicator in the car. Have been for over 50,000 miles. Last to OCI's where at 16k and 18k. Both with a UAO that came back perfect. Fear not.
