E83 n52 intake valve cleaning?

I have only heard this is an issue in the turbo n54 version motor due to direct injection. If this was an issue we would have heard about it by now...

Plus...the n52 doesn't have direct injection....

Here is my take 98k doesn't scare me as long as it has a good service history. You are looking at a dealer car....it wouldn't be there unless it had clean records and passed there initial inspection....

Below is a link to the oem part numbers. Expect to pay upwards of $300 for part only if you go that route.

I had the same issue on my x3 probably 2 years ago as a random one off event. It turned out my car didn't get a full tank and got confused...

Food for thought though, the tranny on this car isn't a common trouble spot for failure...only harsh...
