I'm guessing he would probably spray some TB cleaner or off the shelf lube onto the TB plates before parking it for the winter.

There is a 'Logs' folder under the Rheingold folder you could look at that should give you the error.

Thats pretty much what I did first time around...

Thats pretty much what I did first time around but I put a small copper jumper between #17 and #20 in the femaie side.

In the end, I just picked up an 20 to 16 pin adapter. It was only $15.

How did you manage to prevent a check engine light from coming on ?

The catalytic converters have a O2 sensor before and after the 2 cats to make sure they are working properly.
