That's always a good thing. They left the wire loose on my recall however I zip tied it when I reinstalled my Bruce cables. No biggie for me.

That is crazy that you would need a new engine. Usually when I see the words new engine it's because they overheated the engine and kept running it without stopping, belt shredded and got sucked...

Your oem battery was originally a fla (white cased). However if it was replaced by the dealer anytime after 2010 then you will have a AGM battery (black cased).
