Costco batteries are fine. There are lots of arguments about whether it's worth the effort to register the new battery with the car. I went a year unregistered without issue before selling the car.

As of yet, I have not run into an unethical service adviser. The worst they do is say I need to replace my tires a bit earlier than I want to, but then I run them down pretty far.

You would be pretty hard-pressed to find a tire with too low a load rating, and even if you did, it would be probably be more than fine since the load rating would be very close to what's called for...
