watch your butts, the seat heater in my 05 x5 burned through the leather seat, my coat and my hand when i grabbed at the sharp pain. It seems to be a fairly common problem across the model line up....

probably a good idea for those of us who like to carry stuff on the passenger seat, the weight sets the seat sensor off and you get the seat belt chime
