Not necessarily bad, but I question why the boot cir clip is missing on the mounting side. That's allowing the grease to escape and dirt to seep in.

Take out the whole lower dash :(, not hard, just a ton of screws. Then you can free the MID cage and wrap / paint. Getting the pressure clips off the wood that holds it to the flap is another story....
