If so, lower the REAR center armrest, remove the center panel, reach in to trunk and pull the trunk release handle.

I 've dropped the trans pan on my car 3 times in the past 5 years so far. I've replaced the pan+filter; however, I have been using the same bolts. No leaks.

Also, have your mechanic check the electrical connector to the transmission. If it's soaked in oil, pins in that socket can get shorted.

If you can go to some other mechanic, try some other mechanic.

You can read those error messages/log with INPA...
