The cats were installed 2 years ago so figure maybe 20k miles. But would clogged cats prevent the car from starting? I know it wont run well, but to prevent start-up?

Got busy with it.

I just replaced mine this past weekend @133k. I also changed the VCG, CCV and tubes, plugs, oil, cleaned the MAF and ICV, replaced the DISA O-Ring & coolant.

The dual Vanos job was a cake walk in...
