Many BMW's had factory options for LSD, although in the last decade it's pretty much been M cars only.

My 1990 Turbo 7 series has a 25% locking LSD from the factory. What a nice perk on a 21 year...

Don't beat on it right now, but definitely don't baby it.

Best thing you can do is go easy when the car is cold. That's usually when the most wear is induced.

You won't be able to put another one on without programming. You'll have the DSC lights on and a few other warnings....
