Don't get overly concerned about cetaine, additives and the like. Diesel fuel is simpler than gasoline and is close to being...

This hose will fit the car, but the end that goes on the DEF jug only fits a special container from Mercedes that no one stocks. I modified the DEF jug end of this hose to fit the much smaller...

This was my plan as well, to add the 2.5 gallons to the passive each time it asks for DEF. I even built a custom hose to go from the 2.5 gallon jug, to the fill port of the 335D (I modified a...

I tried using the math method to explain to the dealer that 1 gallon of DEF consumption in 23K miles yielded something like .1% of fuel consumed and based on the pure chemisty of the SCR it was...

Maybe. maybe not... The dealer has not been able to explain how our 2011 335D has gone over 23K miles and not asked for DEF. According to the dealer they attempted to fill the DEF and it only took a...

Not sure why there is a zero spillage requirement, DEF is essentially fertilizer or cow urine. It's dumped on the ground in massive quantities all over the world. In regards to overfilling and...

Yes it does! I had CBU and it was cleaned at 53K miles. Ever since then it appears as I'm using nearly no DEF either. 23K miles since last fill and still going with no warning. Like Michael said,...

The buy backs could be resold with "updated" specs of reduced MPG and HP, of course at very reduced prices. I still believe this is less expensive to VW than trying to retrofit a DEF system. Or...
