Don't use "turned over" to indicate that the engine fired. Turned over usually means that the crankshaft spun. It doesn't mean it started....

Pre-purchase inspection. Get one done by an independent BMW shop. Being it's in the salt belt, and it has 155k miles, there's bound to be some rust somewhere.
