I just had the LSD installed. The increased grip is easy to feel. I drove my 435i last winter with no issues, so it should be even better next winter. Just be sure to get good snow tires.

Since it happens at the same time as the install, I would pull the fuses and verify they are good with a multimeter. They don't always show up as bad with a visual check.
