Under the rear seat, ebay or a part out is the best bet, FYI a module with the PN ending in 571 is the most updated and desirable, any E32/34 module...

check the trunk wiring on the driver side hinge, it loves to break from years or flexing as it got harder and breaks, causes crazy...

Look for a bad connection in the bulbs or corrosion.

The right knob does not click, the driver side does because those clicks are overriding the passenger side for full heat or AC

I got the same emblems, they suck.... One is...

I got the same emblems, they suck.... One is yellow and pitted the other foggy.
Cleaning them like headlights helped for a while but not anymore especially the pitted one

The proper way would be to replace most all components of the system because you will be opening it up but you could replace one part, i would try to find new but if worst comes to worst a used would...

Op you should be able to do this without messing with ews there is an antenna but you can let it hand out of the wat.

Wrong section this is 5series, but it sounds like you have the high and low pressure lines backwards, ive done that before just swap them no biggie.

CORRECT, its even in the owners book, if that ambient temp sensor goes bad or is unplugged the AC will not work, the compressor is not supposed to engage below like -20 or somewhere near that.
