There is a piece of freeware called bmw logger...

There is a piece of freeware called bmw logger that will also allow you to register a new battery or clear codes. Easier to use than INPA too

^^ If its the lines, you will need to change the entire thing. Its a non serviceable LED, If its the adaptive brake light/ fogs, its just a regular bulb that you can change.

2010 X5 has Mulf/TCU, there is no combox. You can use the existing hardware iyou have it to run the USB HSD cable to the center console .That will give you 6FL. Add it to your FA and code your CIC.
