Does the AUX fan still power up? I can't seem to remember when BMW switched AUX fan designs, the later version is a whole unit deal IIRC.

The ebay one is the EURO OEM ash tray inset for non-smokers. The only difference is the illuminated end is covered in a sloped shape. Very nice upgrade :)

And the cam sensor thing? Chances are it will break because the wire insulation dry-rots.... so no one is at fault. (Happened when I did mine)

I would suggest OEM for the front and URO in the rear. Why BMW does not sell rear regulators (00+ IIRC) without the motor is beyond me.

I kinda want to say ballast. When mine went out it was a flicker...flicker...dead.

I would try and find a used ballast (maybe borrow a known working one) and see if the problem persists.
