Hmm... I remember the last time I took out my headunit, the harness wiring looked kinda Frankensteined in their by the PO. I wonder if this might be causing my gauge issues? Any thoughts?

Seems like a common problem. I get a squeak every once in awhile from the wheel. My steering wheel is also kind of hard to turn but I'm not getting any noises.

I like the brightness of LEDS but some are too cool (bluish), I like pure white light or the warm oem look. Red would look cool, would def. match the dash. It might make it harder to see things...
