I replaced my plastic rollers with brass ball-bearing patio door rollers I bought at Lowes. Cost me 4 bucks for two of them and they work like a charm.

Sounds electrical; check all the battery and ground connections an inspect the cables for corrosion under the insulation. Check the fuses too, one by one. They are known to be very problematic.
