the tools is about $1000 to do it, depending on where you live you may want to find an independent to do it for you. Dealer will not use the tool, but rather remove the heads which is $$$$$

You really have to do your research before purchasing one of these cars - I did tons of it here, and haven't had as many issues (yet) as others - with any used German car, buyer beware is crucial.

the transmission oil pan incorporates the filter - if you change this you do both in one - however if you are high mileage / never been changed I would advise against it as you may cause further...

Still trying to diagnose if my o2 sensors are bad, below is the output from DIS; What does the value for lambda adaptation reveal? All of this started shortly after I replaced the fuel pump.

that's fairly normal in between maintenance...

Rock auto has 3 of the 4 from Bosch, which appears to be the OEM supplier. Wondering if any of you have sourced them elsewhere; since my fuel pump change the car has been running great however...
