Have you looked through the oil filler cap with a borescope? Reason I ask: one of the potential causes of the oil consumption is the a clogged crankcase ventilation system....

BMWs are notoriously sensitive to dying batteries.
Also you should invest in BMW-specific OBD...

Not sure that I can help--DSX and folks like him could help you much better with this--but I can say that an "internally failed" oil filter housing gasket can lead to oil and coolant mixing....

I've seen more problems from people making the smallest operational changes when installing plugs, leading to random misfires.....
These engines are finicky.
