Go ahead and replace your resistor and the motor. Why do double work for something that can be taken out in one blow. But your problems do sound like the resistor.

Thumbs down The funniest thing happened today!

To start off with the turn signal indicator fell off going 80Mph causing it to be ran over and bounce up and down under the car. My parents who were driving the car though it was nothing serious....

They had to be removed. It was 2 to 4 hours of labor can't remember exactly. Then my mechanic charged me $180 to sandblast and repaint them.
