Yeah Pinky is going to be an animal. The turbo compressor is rated to 980hp, but not planning on going near that. Will be limited to 400-ish with the current injectors and hacked Motronic.

Most m20b25's make about 130-150whp stock depending age and previous maintenance. We have dynoed several Spec and Chump e30's lately, I would say 140 is the average.

The stock motor can handle 15psi with an upgraded head gasket and supporting fuel. The wide body made 357whp at 15psi on a Holset HX35.

Awesome. Robert is a good guy. We will be installing one of his Spec motors in an e30 soon. You got lucky that it was just a swap of the shims, the kits aren't close to being cheap.

Did you buy the shim kit to do your valve adjustment? Looks like she is being cared for nicely! We just did an Alpha-N and carbon airbox on an '87 s14, what a difference - keeping yours OEM/stock-ish?

You said you have access to a shop. All the shops I know of have an engine hoist and/or engine brace. It will make your life much easier to hold the engine in place and drop the sub-frame.

I didn't cut the gasket when I did an m54-powered 325. Just brace the engine from above, disconnect the motor mounts, loosen the subframe bolts and let the subframe drop until the struts catch it and...
