New X4 - replacing the orange ft bulbs

Just "upgraded" the X4 by replacing the orange turn signals with Phillips SilverVisions. A quick (2 minute) and easy upgrade to the looks. Here are 2 pictures of the bulb off and on.

Rumor of an Alpina X5 4.8 ...

Based on the 4.8 Dual Vanos motor that is in the Alpina Z8. Also rumored is a 6 speed auto from the new 7er.




A couple of more weeks and my M3 should be fixed.

Bluetooth Update (unconfirmed)

There was a post on another board (can't remember which ..) that US Bluetooth retrofit kits would show up in Q1 2003. Cost would be about $1000 (ouch !). This is a bit steep since 3rd party bluetooth...

I believe from what I've read in the UK forums that if the Bluetooth phone has voice dailing, that should work OK with the std BMW car kit.

Week 23 (6/7) - Done !

Car was finished yesterday (Thursday). Now I'm waiting for the boat ride over. I'm doing the Performance Center Delivery. Scheduled date is 7/19. My best guess is the car will be in the US by July 4.

Supercharger definitely helps

Based on the gearing I have with the Step, the road is mostly 2nd gear and mostly right in the supercharger's power band - 4000 to 6000 rpm. It's a noticable improvement !
