It's the low pressure pump in the fuel tank. It only comes on if the pressure has dropped since the last start up (e.g. overnight). The HPFP is engine-driven, not electric.

Sadly it sounds like you diff is on the way out. I doubt if an oil change will sort that. Unfortunately BMW don't supply internal parts for their diffs, so it will need a full replacement diff.

Some of the threads are on tabs which can move away from the holes they're supposed to line up with. It will mean taking the shield off again to see if anything's shifted while you were working...

The noise is normal. It's the injectors. That's why the underside of the engine cover (which you've removed for the video) has a thick layer of sound-absorbing material.

I had a very similar clunk. Turned out to be the diff. Bad news is BMW do not supply any internal parts for their diffs. Good news (for me) was the new replacement diff was covered by a warranty.

Weakness in coil design or production fault I suspect. In Europe all coils have been replaced on some E9X models with a re-designed product, as a 'recall'. You should be good for many years now.
