I've used the Whalen bushings and been satisfied, there are others on the market now....

How long is the extended maintenance for...maybe 2 years ? It only chanages oil, etc on their schedule. Not worth it IMO.

To paraphrase what Mark K said, BMW's are reliable, but you ave to maintain them. You can do the maintenance yourself, but make sure it gets done.

Why not start a thread for your problem ? As an aside, I had a similar problem with my E46. Turned out to be a ground issue. There's a big thread on E46fanatics.com. Search for flickering headlights.

Normally the Performance Center doesn't schedule a delivery until after the car passes customs. I don't know how you got a date of 12/12 if you car is just now headed to port:dunno:

Sounds like the west coast facility is for driving schools only, not pick up. So yes, you can do PCD in Spartanburg and then purchase a driving school on the west coast.

Don't sweat it. If your car is shipped to the dealer, tell the dealer you want BMW 101. Same as PCD except you already have your car.
