odd occurrence today - CV's?

I was driving my 2002 325i steptronic today - owned it one full month, 2500 miles since purchased, 95k total miles now, never an issue - and the following happened.

Looks like these have had trouble through the years...the repairs though don;t seem to include this connector at all though that I can tell.

Keep me honest - rear tailight wiring - 2 wiring couplers?

I just installed a sub in the trunk of my 02 e46 sedan. Unhooked both taillight housings to access behind the carpeting - finished that then re-installed the housing.

When I put everything back...

I'm no genius (completely self-taught) for I have not replaced either head unit in both my BMW's, but as I understand it what we have in the e46 is a head unit and separate amplifier in the trunk...

Yep...just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. That's what I did.

I also mounted the jack in my ash tray. Works perfectly fine there with easy access.

There should be three pins on the adapter cable. Those pins need to be installed in the radio wiring harness. Your 1st picture shows the harness used...that harness unplugs...

60.8L Phase 1

60.8 = just over 16 gallons...that explains the gauge reading. Not sure what this means...

If you're using the analog aux input headphone...

If you're using the analog aux input headphone jack, there's no way your steering wheel controls will operate the player, nor the MID show the id3 tag info.

Just press the MODE button until AUX...
