valve adjustments are required...just did my 88. tick all gone...not that hard if you have a helper...the icv is easy too but more expensive as the valve adjustment is free

i would look for a Bosch authorized repair shop that has an authorized injector cleaning machine...they do exist and it works...it takes likes a couple of hours, they have to take the injectors out...

never the less, if you are leaking automatic transmission fluid you can try to change it and it may seem to make matters better, but the fact is, your ZF needs to be rebuilt...that's it...regretable...
