isn't this the sport steering wheel. At least in 2013 model I think it was the default on 35i (if you don't get the M-sport). On our 2013 28i we got it as part of the sports activity package.

The car came with the Y cable, I guess it is included be default nowadays. My wife's ancient ipod works fine with it.
