You just need (switched) power (red with white...

You just need (switched) power (red with white stripe), ground (brown) & ibus (white and yellow with grey "dashes").
You should be able to find all 3 wires from the blue connector for your Nav unit...

All I can add is I went from a MKII to a MKIII, THEN from a 4x3 to a 16x9 with no problem. Since I already had my 16x9 installed when I graduated to a MKIV, I can only ASSUME you'd have no trouble...

A MKIII or (preferably) a MKIV replacement is a good idea, and both are easy, direct fits.
A MKIII is much faster than a MKII, and a MKIV is still faster than the MKIII....

I'd vote it's your Nav.

An easy test would be to swap (temp) your Nav with someone else.
If their Nav in your car allows your radio to work, then it's your Nav, or if your Nav causes their radio...

Like everyone says, get your new battery first, and have the system (battery, charging.....) tested to make sure your new battery is being properly...

This puts the Nav into "Euro" mode, which will remove the "Accept"...
