Unfortunately this seals are of very poor quality, BMW knows about this problem and they simply don't care. Google Bisan systems because that's the company that I use when I replace mine, I did mine...

have your local indy change the oil, write down your mileage, and 5000 miles later oh so change the oil again, this way you know for sure when the oil changes are due
