Cool keep us posted. I knew it didn't have to do with the battery. Like I said I've opened my car plenty of times with a dead key battery and the car battery unplugged.

The arm you easily clean. Get either a steamer and towel to clean it or maybe 3M Upholstery...

General parts ?? I usually start at realm.com to get the part number. Then search the web or here or E46 site to make sure I have the correct part. Then from there I search the dealer or online....
